三、教學目標 Objectives
本課程有下列三個主要目標:
1.幫助學生了解人力資源管理的相關議題。
2.讓學生了解台灣與國際人力資源管理實務相關議題並討論其解決方案。
3.根據人力資源管理所學理論在課堂中報告並討論相關議題。
This course has the following three main objectives:

1. To help students understand issues related to human resource management.
2. To familiarize students with human resource management practices in Taiwan and internationally and discuss their solutions.
3. To discuss issues related to human resource management in class based on the theoretical knowledge acquired.
四、課程內容 Course Description
整體敘述 Overall Description
This course is designed to delve into key issues in Human Resources Management (HRM) from a global standpoint. It highlights the significance of external and internal environments, the recruitment and development of human resources, work and job design, performance management, the global challenges facing H.R. leaders, and the evaluation and compensation of human resources. By the end of this course, students will gain an understanding of HRM-related topics from both global and local perspectives. They will be able to identify pressing H.R.M. issues in Taiwan, propose viable solutions, and effectively communicate these issues and their solutions in class, grounding their discussions in H.R.M. theories and knowledge. Moreover, students will learn how to apply these concepts and solutions within organizational settings.

 1535%Participation and attendance (20%): including participating in class exercises, worksheets or discussions, asking or answering questions , etc.
15%: Taking the initiative to speak or answer questions 5 times/weeks this semester will get 15 % (You've got to notify me for registration at the end of each class).
 225%Group midterm paper (10%): Each group with 2-3 students has to choose an HRM topic and extend the topic with current business articles, news, or video clips (in English, either in Taiwan media or international ones). Write a double-spaced report of 2-3 pages, including: 1) The importance of this topic within an organization; 2) an introduction of the topic; 3) your reflections and thoughts or comments. 4) references you cited. Submit the reports to Tronclass the class assignment: “midterm paper” no later than 4/19 at 4:00 p.m.
Group oral presentation (15%): each group has to do the oral presentation of the above selected HRM topic and extend the topic with business articles, news, or video clips. The presentation has to be 20 minutes and have slides.

十一、計畫表公布後異動說明 Changes Made After Posting Syllabus
2024-Mar.8 update. The final exam (20%) is optional. Students dissatisfied with their quiz scores (20%) can choose to take the final exam, Regardless of the final exam score, if taken, it will count towards the total grade (20%). Those skipping the final exam will have their quiz scores stand in for their final exam grade.
