Preparation and staging of renowned play "The Imaginary Invalid" <<無病呻吟>> by French playwright Molière (莫里哀, 1622-1673): -Understanding the Play: We aim to throroughly comprehend the themes,characters , and plot of " The Imaginary Invalid."Through analysis and comedic elements embedded within the text. -Character Development: Each student will undertake the task of inhabiting a character from the play. Our goal is to breath life into these roles by delving authentic portrayalon stage. -Explotatiion of Acting Techniques: Through exercises, improvisisation and scene work, we'll learn how to stand, walk, breath, use the senses, play with an object, tell a story, work as a group.We'll have a first approach of different schools of acting. -Collaborative Rehearsals: We'll work closely as a team, supporting and challenging each other.Rehearsals will be dedicated to blckingm line readings,character interactions, music scene etc. -Cultural and Historical Context: To truly appreciate Molière's work, we'll delve into the cultural and historical context of 17th-century France. Understanding the societal norms, medical practices, and philosophical ideas of the time will enrich our interpretation of the play and inform our performances. |
