In this course, students are expected to: 1. Understand two important deontological theories in normative ethics: the intention / foreseen distinction, the doing / allowing distinction. 2. Understand several significant theories of reasons in metaethics: subjectivism, objectivism, and hybrid theories. 3. Learn how to construct philosophical arguments and develop philosophical writing skills. |

四、課程內容 Course Description | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
●整體敘述 Overall Description 邏輯推理可以應用的層面很廣,但本課程不可能涵蓋全部的主題。在本學期,本課程將聚焦在倫理學上,探究規範倫理學與後設倫理學的議題。針對規範倫理學,我們將會帶領同學認識二個重要的義務論主張:意圖與預見的區別、為害與允害的區別。針對後設倫理學,我們則會帶領同學認識關於道德要求的理由理論,例如主觀論、客觀論、混合論等等。除了老師在課堂上的講授之外,本課程也預計選擇幾篇重要的論文,要求同學進行閱讀,並對當中內容進行評論。另外,本課程也將要求修課同學進行分組,針對上課討論到的議題撰寫相關論說文章,練習應用上課所學習到的推理方式。 |
