從蔡志忠的「國學經典漫畫」、大陸的「會動的清明上河圖」,乃至於產業界的廣告文案、時尚精品,在在顯示把古老智慧與現代文化創意手法做結合的商品,已受到市場的肯定。因為它摒棄了說教,而訴諸新的詮釋與表現形式,觸動了現代人的心靈。本課程即以此為目標,介紹先秦經典中的文化內涵,再結合當代文化、藝術、社會背景,架構互動的關係。 首先以綜覽的方式閱讀古籍,不強調記憶與背誦,而著重於個人體悟與創意發想。其次是思考:台灣的特質是小而美,擁有高品質的文化傳承,那麼在全球「中文熱」中,是否能拿出成績來站上世界的浪潮?本課程期待能帶領同學舉嚼古典智慧、激發文化創意。 |

From “Cartoon of Chinese Classics” by Tsai Zi-zong and exhibition of “Animated Version of the Painting of Riverside at Ching-ming Festival” in China, to industrial advertising documentary and boutique-fashion, it clearly shows that combining ancient wisdom and modern cultural creativity for merchandise is a trend affirmed and embraced by marketplace today. The reason for this new trend is that, in modern society, it has stirred up people’s inner feelings by rejecting “preaching” from the ancient and resorting to a new form of interpretation, hence, expression. Understanding this transformation is thus the objective of this course. It will first introduce to students the cultural aspects contained in the classics of pre-Qin Dynasty. Then the interaction will be examined among these aspects, modern culture, arts, and social context. The classics of pre-Qin Dynasty will be first read in an overview. It does not require reciting from memory – in fact, rote is not emphasized. Rather, the course will focus on each individual student’s comprehension and creative ideas. Next, it will be this thought-process: Being “small and yet beautiful”, which is characteristics of Taiwan, the country has high degree of preservation of Chinese culture-heritage, like traditional Chinese written-characters. Would Taiwan then, amidst the popularity of “learning Chinese” all over the world, be able to present the world a score card showing it is not falling behind on trends? It is hoped that this course could lead students to absorb & digest Chinese ancient wisdom through its classics, thereby inspiring and manifesting their cultural creativity. |
