三、教學目標 Objectives
「宗教改革」使歐洲基督教意識型態實現了從中古向近代的過渡，中世紀的歐洲是神權統治的顛峰期，宗教改革透過一系列的社會革命、思想革命和經濟革命，使得西歐的社會價值觀、文化、科學、藝術由蒙昧步入理性主義、人道主義的近代文明。 然而，歐洲文明的許多弊病也蘊含在那個時代的社會變革之中，東西方文明比較研究是當今世界歷史發展成為整體之後的趨勢，不同文化間的互補、學習，乃至於汲取他國的歷史教訓是不容忽視的重大課題。
The purpose of the class is to probe into the development of Western religious history and learn how the rational thought was emancipated from the bondage of Christian religion that had restrained people over thousand years in sixteenth century. The power to relieve from hard life relies not on redemption and salvation, but on human itself. The value of human is decided by pursuing the significance of life, not by the corrupted church authority.
