三、教學目標 Objectives
＊＊＊這個課程將會與日本大阪關西大學（KANSEI Univesity)進行線上連線教學合作，約為五週的時間。同學將會與日本學生共組團隊以英文進行報告。　大二(含)以上的學生都歡迎。

本課程以全球化發展下，讓學生能口語化、生活化的英文方式來討論與我們息息相關的重大政策議題，這個課程強調課堂的討論，也希望部分課程能透過遠距教學與他國的老師或學生在網路上共同討論全球面對的問題。課程主要內容為：
第一 , 在全球化的發展下，各國政府皆面臨比以往更複雜的全球性的公共政策治理議題，這些重大議題持續影
響人類的生活與發展，這些議題包含：貧富差距(gap between rich and poor)、貧窮(poverty)、人口販賣(human trafficking)、能源政策(energy policy)、糧食議題(food security and shortage)、氣候變遷(climate change) 恐怖主義(terriosm)等等。因此，本課程乃以重大政策議題個案為出發點，透過已挑選的英文期刊、文章報導或影片，以時事（current affairs）討論方式來進行課堂分析， 讓政策議題與現實生活作結合，以引起學生學習興趣 。
第二 本課程除公共政策議題的討論外，亦將會運用影片、戶外參訪（英語機關或團體）及邀請外國老師的教學參與，以情境生活式教學希望能減少學生對英文的恐懼，加強其英語能力!
***The higlight of this class will be: we will be collaborating online class with KANSEI University Japan for about 5 weeks. Both side of Students will be grouping for a project and present it to the campus.
With globalization giving rise to unlimited possibilities for change, governments are challenged by never-before complex global public policy issues. The continuous impact of these major issues on human life and development is the core of this course, which seeks to conduct detailed case studies on the following topics: Poverty and inequality, Human trafficking in Southeast Asia, womens' rights , NUke policy and Energy policies in Taiwan , food security, climate change, terriosm　 and so on. Through selections of English journals and articles on current events, this course aims to promote discussion and analysis among students, and hopes that every individual can gain a profound comprehension of the utilization of governmental policies in our world today.

本課程會以時事來做為課程討論的內容，教材來源主要來自報章雜誌的報導甚至網站上的文章。(會依同學程度作難易的調整內容 以利學習!!) 只要你願以英文來討論全球公共政策議題，你就能上這個課程。

The first class will be an introduction to what will be covered during the semester. Discussion will touch upon issues concerning the Human trafficking in Asia, Poverty issue in Southeast Asia, cross-strait relationships(Taiwan-China), Asian human rights, Climate chagne and environmental policy and protection etc.
