三、教學目標 Objectives | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
基於跨領域知識的寬度、高度、和不同文化的面向,探討工程(科技、作業、成品)與人類文明的生死及興衰的關係,進而討論人類永續生存之道。課程設定的目標如下: (1) 討論「工程」、「文明」與「文化」的定義、範疇、與特質。 (2) 根據「文明」演化與「工程」的功能,探討古文明的生、死關鍵。 (3) 分析中華文明永續生存的工程因素 (4) 討論「工程」與「文化」的關係。 (5) 討論「工程」與「自然」的衝突、和諧之道。 (6) 討論「工程」與人類「和平」及「永續生存」之道。 (7) 以案例引導學生對相關主題的了解與關懷。 (8) 訓練學生自行取得第一手知識的能力。辦法如下: 學生自行選擇一個工程案例(國內外皆可),從事實地調查研究(一位同學一組為原則,但複雜或困難地點也接受二位同學為一組),繳交一份報告,包括文字檔(.doc)及簡報檔(.ppt),選出六組在第17周上課時間上台報告,鼓勵同學討論,並由教師加以評論。 |

Based on the width, height, and different cultures aspects of interdisciplinary knowledge, the relationship between engineering (technologies, operations and products) and the life-and-death, as well the rise-and- fall, of human civilizations will be explored. The sustainable survival of mankind will be discussed. The objectives of this course are set as the following : (1) Discussion on the definitions, categories and characteristics of "engineering", "civilization" and "culture". (2) Exploration on the key factors of the life-and-death of "ancient civilizations" in the light of civilizations' evolution and the functions of engineering. (3) Analysis of the of engineering factors on the sustainable survival of Chinese civilization. (4) Discussion on the relationship between "engineering" and "culture". (5) Discussion on the conflict and harmony of "engineering" with "nature". (6) Discussion on the function of "engineering" to the "peaceful sustainable survival." of human race. (7) Case analysis to guide students the understanding and concern on the related main themes of the course. (8) To train students' ability of obtaining first-hand knowledge through self - development, the guideline is as the following: Students choose an engineering project case (at home or abroad), engaged in field study (Two students a group in principle. Solo accepted). A report, including text file (.doc) and presentation file(.ppt) should be submitted. Six groups will be selected to perform presentation in the 17th- week class. Discussions raised by students are encouraged. Comments by the teacher concludes the presentation. |

●整體敘述 Overall Description 本「通識講座」,希望同學們在專業課程之外,擴張知識的「寬度」與「高度」,從自然環境、社經環境、以及文化面向,探討工程(科技、作業、成品)與人類文明誕生、興盛、衰落及死亡的關鍵,並嘗試了解人類永續發展之道。 由於人類的50%以上,台灣人的80%以上,已經居住在城市之中,對城市文明的了解,也是本課程的重點。 鑑於自我開發出來的第一手知識,才是最有價值的知識;本課程要求每一位同學都要針對某一相關課題,從事實地調查,提出報告,並由部分同學在學期末上台說明,作為示範。 |
