三、教學目標 Objectives
This course is designed to nurture in students an interest in the Chinese Mainland affairs and cross-strait relations. Through an in-depth analysis of China’s politico-economic developments as well as the past trajectory of cross-strait relations, students are expected to learn to appreciate the nature and potential future trends of these relations. 
四、課程內容 Course Description
整體敘述 Overall Description
a. This class will be conducted in a manner befitting a seminar. Interactions between the instructor and students are expected and encouraged. Topics to be discussed will be presented with the aid of PowerPoint slide show. Audio/video materials may also be shown whenever available and deemed necessary.
b. Each week students are required to collect at least 5 pieces of current economic/business/trade news concerning mainland China from the mass media and share the news with fellow students. 30 minutes of class time each week will be allocated for this endeavor.
