三、教學目標 Objectives
The purpose of this course is to allow students to improve their English listening and speaking skills through watching and discussing films. This is not a film course per se but an English course which uses film as its main teaching material. There are three general goals of the course, which are as follows:

1). to use English film dialogue to improve English vocabulary, speaking and listening
2). to increase understanding of American culture through film
3). to better understand and appreciate films

The first goal will be the focus of the course.
　
四、課程內容 Course Description
●整體敘述 Overall Description
We will not watch the films in their entirety but will only look at select scenes but the final and midterm exams will be based on the entire film.
All of the films used in class are available in the library or in G103 and students are responsible for viewing all the films in their entirety in their free time.

Student Films: In groups you will make your own film. You may remake an already existing movie or write your own screenplay and film it.
