三、教學目標 Objectives
The specific goal of this course is to promote students’ oral communication skills through weekly exercises of conversation, panel discussion, and report. Different topics ranging from various aspects of students’ lives to significant events in current national and international news are selected/ assigned for class discussion at an attempt to encourage students to become critical thinkers.　
四、課程內容 Course Description
●整體敘述 Overall Description
The class will be structured as either A or B.
A. Students will have to bring their own prepared news on a pre-assigned topic. Group discussions will be conducted firstly for students to share their own news. One news from each group will be selected and then presented to the whole class afterwards.
B. A brief introduction to the history and impacts of a current world issue is given by the teacher. It is then followed by class discussion/ group discussion. One reporter from each group is assigned to report on the results of their discussion.
