四、課程內容 Course Description | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
●整體敘述 Overall Description This is a one year course for English majors who have successfully completed their required reading courses, and would like to expand and to broaden their reading experiences to include essays on various subject matters and areas of interest. There will be weekly reading assignments for class discussions and independent reading outside of the class. Occasionally there will also be in-class writing to reflect understanding of works been studied. Students are expected to be actively participating in group works and discussions as it accounts for major part of the total grade at the end of the semester. For mid-term and final grades, students may choose to take written exams, submit papers, or give oral presentations on their analysis of the prose works from the individual and class reading lists. |
